Electing the President

The President is the Head of State in the US and he has some specific powers.  He can;

  • Propose Legislation
  • Sign Legislation
  • Veto Legislation
  • Act as chief Executive
  • Nominate branch officials and Federal Judges
  • Act as Commander-in-chief
  • Negotiate Treaties
  • Pardon

There are limits on the powers of the President, however.
